With Pubs now open, please note some very important changes. The best way to stay up to date is to follow us on facebook. We will try our best to update this website when we can, but as we are sure you aware, we are extremely busy.
We have conducted some FAQ's for you so you understand what we are doing to be compliant and how pub life will be after opening.
WHEN WILL YOU BE OPENING?
We officially reopened our doors on Friday 16th April 2021. We will be opening in line with the latest government guidance. At present this means indoor and outdoor seating can be used. We have a new smoking shelter that has heaters and TV's underneath. For COVID-19 compliance we are allowing tables of up to 6 people indoors and tables of up to 12 people. outdoors.
WILL I NEED TO BOOK?
Booking is not essential, but it is preferred. This allows us to manage tables a lot better. Bookings will be taken by telephone only. Walk-ins are allowed but bookings will be prioritised.
If you are visiting please be aware for track and trace purposes, EVERYONE over the age of 16 years old will need to give a name and number before entering. This will be taken before entry upon your arrival.
HOW LONG CAN I STAY?
You can stay for as long as you feel comfortable. However, we recommend no longer than 3 hours if you are sitting with people from a different household. This is in line with the government guidance. You will be ask for a rough intended stay time before entering so that we can continue to manage bookings.
WHAT SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES WILL I NEED TO ADHERE TO?
We are enforcing the 1m+ metre rule throughout the premises. For those who wish to remain 2m, we have areas that allow for this to happen. We are also enforcing a one-way system throughout the pub to help maintain social distancing whilst moving around.
WHAT OTHER POLICIES ARE IN PLACE?
Staff are trained and updated in all of our COVID-19 policies and procedures. This covers correct PPE usage and Hygiene procedures.
We have adopted a "No Tolerance" Policy which refers to anyone not following our rules will be asked to leave.
WILL THERE BE TABLE SERVICE?
Yes. We will provide you with a disposable or wipeable menu upon arrival which will have all of our products available and their prices. Please bear in mind that our product range may be reduced for a short time until we get up and running again.
Please also note that we have a blanket mask wearing policy. Whenever you are not seated, you MUST wear a mask! EVEN when outside or leaving. This is to avoid confusion when moving around the pub.
HOW MANY PEOPLE TO A TABLE AND CAN I SIT WITH MY FRIENDS?
The number of people to a table will depend on the size of the table and space available around it. At this time we are allowing families and "bubbles" of up to 6 to sit together indoors and up to 12 people outdoors. However, please bear in mind that we only have limited tables outside and not all are undercover. We cannot take bookings for more than 6 people indoors at this time.
WHAT CLEANING PROCEDURES WILL BE PUT IN PLACE?
We will have hand sanitising stations at all entrances and exits as well as on every table. Tables and chairs will be wiped down with appropriate cleaners after use. Glasses will be disinfected and washed in our glass washer after use. Door handles and toilets will be cleaned at least every 2 hours in accordance with HSE COVID-19 Guidelines. This will be more often during busier periods.
CAN I BRING MY CHILD(REN)?
Yes! Children (under 18's) are allowed on the premises until 7pm, but MUST remain at your table at ALL times. This is for the safety of everyone onsite. Please make sure you bring your own entertainment for them. Due to our licensing laws, the premises becomes OVER 18'S ONLY after 7pm.
WHAT ENTERTAINMENT WILL YOU HAVE ON?
Unfortunately, until the guidance changes, we cannot cater for LIVE entertainment. However, we are able to show SKY or BT SPORT outside on our new TV's. Hopefully it will not be too long before we can continue our Quizzes, Bingo, Folk Nights and have LIVE events.
WILL YOUR OPENING HOURS CHANGE?
Yes. We have shortened our opening hours until we find our feet again. Our opening hours are: Mon-Tue: CLOSED, Weds 4pm - 11:30pm, Thurs 4pm - 11:30pm, Fri - Sat 12pm - 12:30am, Sun 12-11pm.
CAN I PAY CASH?
Yes. Obviously, contactless or card payments are preferred but we acknowledge that a lot of our customers prefer pay cash. This will be accepted no problem.
